i finished it last night; now i want to read it again! such a beautiful, unusual novel. a true gem... and kudos to translator Jennifer Croft!

i read this last night & again this morning, w/coffee. it's wonderful in all the ways we expect from a good writer; a subtle rhythm, sentences that stream smoothly along, clarity & mystery. for me, this story ascends because of its universality. we've all known a Bobby; some of us here were Bobby.
