The AI thing is also definitely worrying. Personally I don't use it at all. Kinda feel like I got into programming at the completely wrong time. Should've done it like a couple decades ago.

Eventually embedded stuff but we haven't gotten that far yet. Outside of brief glances at other languages it's my first time actually spending time trying to learn any programming and I sure am s t r u g g l i n g

Das crazy. I'm doing C with a touch of C++ but unfortunately I only have a barely functioning brain so progress is slow. Kinda hoping with some time and effort I can get decent enough with it that learning other stuff won't be impossible

It's been fun seeing people lately going back and giving DS2 another chance, or a first fair chance after only ever hearing people complain about it, and not surprisingly it's actually a pretty good game. Flawed for sure but it's definitely been done dirty.

Something I miss from DS1 and 2 is the unique arenas. Dodging in a round/rectangular arena is great but environmental interactivity/variety basically doesn't exist anymore. Taurus Demon, Moonlight Butterfly, The Lost Sinner (torches), Pursuer, Dragonrider, Flexile Sentry...
