The truth is when it comes to public opinion polls, I know nothing! It's so confusing.
You can always pretend as a cover when people obviously think you're a bozo. Probably should have done that.
I wouldn't say automaton but just that who has the time?
My own sense (anecdotal obv) is that the court is associated with party politics - like a shorthand is citizens United -- but was it always this way?
So I would like to push back on that to the extent that it's not super consistent with what folks I know who don't follow law/politics too much say to me. But of course it's just a few people I know.
I will read it, thanks! When I think of my relatives, if they had a thought about it, it would be partisan vibes.
Should I be kidding?
I'd be interested in knowing more about reasons for decline: is it the decisions? The publicity about unreported gifts? The performances at the hearings? Something else?
Did you see they just certified a class in Minnesota barring excessive force?
Looks fantastic
This looks fantastic. Who is speaking? (Esp on the class actions panel) Will there be papers?
Chair needs a solid vacuum tbh
Tell your chair that my February flower just bloomed. A bit late but still good news.
All of it is shocking and outrageous.
I listened and am in shock.

But she is the best.
So critical
Because in the afternoon I add sugar to the black coffee to make it both a treat and a pick me up, I feel I have the best of all possible worlds.
Conform to his view of femininity or perish, Prof. Wittlin.
For this reason alone I drink black coffee at the office.
Oh I feel that so deeply
OMG I love this framing!
When I was a junior I remember hearing that fancy law schools paid for their juniors to get editorial help and maybe even writing. These were rumors, but I remember thinking wow the resources available are so different.
With the caveat that I agree that one ought to be able to write a summary of one's ideas, I was thinking the abstract is different than the paper bc it is a summary, just like syllabi are written by the clerk not the court. That said...
The experience I was thinking of was more emotional than intellectual. Some people need help letting their papers go. Other people...let things go that should have been kept longer.
