Almost everything the man has been up to has been calculated to a T. People call Cody Rhodes a politician, but Hendry might be an evil genius. His perfectly calculated earworm of a theme song, his natural charisma, and strong work ethic. He knows who to schmooze and what side his bread is buttered.

They are doing these European shows to accommodate John Cena's shooting schedule. The movie is shooting in Europe so it's easy for him to fly out to whatever city in Europe Raw's in then for him to go back and forth to the US.

They should be studied in a lab. I say that tribalism is counterproductive and that a rising tide lifts all ships, and they act like I said WWE should buy TNA and turn it into NXT 2. We have so many promotions, all doing really well. Wrestling fans are spoiled for choice this past year!

No worries! I've seen multiple people say this unironicaly. I like AEW, my first wrestling show was AEW, but I swear some AEW fans act like it's on the verge of bankruptcy at all times

A house show in a different city and different region of England will not hurt Forbidden Door. AEW isn't some struggling NWA territory in the 80's, and WWE is not the monopoly it once was. AEW and NJPW are both big enough that a WWE house show almost 250 miles away is not a threat to Forbidden Door

There was always demand for true competition to WWE. The audience was always there. AEW was the first promotion to both find that audience and sustain it. AEW never had a finger poke if Doom, no bash at the beach fiasco. They're good and always have been. WWE marks rooting for it to fail are fools

Exactly, AEW at this point is healthy. They've got a huge fan base, a great relationship with their media partners, and a stacked roster. Sure they've had a handful of odd booking decisions. But they are as close to too big to fail as a promotion can be at this point

Again, you're arguing with hypotheticals. Yeah, TKO would love to control all of wrestling, but they can't monopolize wrestling. Vince tried and failed. The only reason WWE became a monopoly was because WCW and ECW failed independently of WWE's actions.

If B shows like those a threat to a threat to AEW or any other wrestling promotion, then those promotions have bigger problems then counterprograming.

WWE has three shows a week because the roster size and audience demand. Yet each show has its audience and style. Sure no one has the time to be watch every show every day. But the wrestling ecosystem is healthy enough to support them all, plus local Independent wrestling companies.

That if is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. AEW is too successful to fold anytime soon. It would take multiple finger pokes of doom levels of bad booking to push the audience that they've built away. If TNA can survive this long then AEW's future is secured.

Yeah, you could practically see the teleprompter for poor Tiffy. But Charlotte was yes anding everything Tiffany said, will Tiffany was sticking to the scriptm Maybe they should teach improv at the performance center on top of the physical training.

Yes, and my overall point is that they should be watched and supported. Their continued success is good for the industry. And if one grows it creates interest in the others. While I don't watch them regularly, when I do watch them more often then not I like what I see

22.03.2025 22:40 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

My point is that there needs to be multiple big accesible promotions for the industry to remain healthy.

22.03.2025 22:33 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That's fair TOK itself I have little faith in. And I do have my limits on what I will put up with. I don't watch the Saudi shows and the second they put an official from the Trump administration on screen at an event I'm out.

22.03.2025 22:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

Neither, wrestling has always had room for a true competitor for WWE even after WCW and ECW both folded. AEW has successfully been just that. Unless AEW makes multiple bad booking and business decisions for multiple years straight, there's nothing WWE could do to hurt them.

22.03.2025 22:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

How is me saying that wrestling is big enough to support two big promotions doing shows in the UK at the same time a lie? WWE doesn't need my protection. Nor does AEW, TNA or NJPW. Wrestling is probably in the best place it's been since the 90's.

TNA has it's biggest stars show off their titles to a larger audience, bringing more eyes and interest to TNA. If someone big in NXTA comes on to TNA then it would look like the bigger promotions is invading the smaller one. It makes WWE look bad and TNA look weak.

22.03.2025 20:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Top talent going to a bigger promotion when their contracts end is nothing new. Sure they want Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry on their show since they're both good in ring performers who are over with the fans. But they are also highlighting their TNA titles as well. The relationship isn't one way

22.03.2025 19:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Going from TNA to NXT gets more eyes on you in the mainstream. Going from NXT to TNA gives greener talent a chance to work in front of a new audience. Both benefit. Now if WWE absorbed TNA and made it a feeder system that would be bad. But the current relationship is healthy.

22.03.2025 19:03 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

If events are booked in close proximity to each other like the house shows leading up to Clash at the Castle and Forbidden Door this summer both being in the UK, the wrestling ecosystem can support both in the UK. And the audience is diverse enough that they'll all be well attended

22.03.2025 18:59 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

How so? Since TNA got it's act together in the past few years. Rather then try to sink it WWE I instead of squashing it, has instead started sharing talent. They have moved to recognize and talk about other promotions on their shows rather than act like they're the only game in town.

That was true when Vince bought out the regional promotions 40 years ago. But the failures of WCW and ECW are dur to internal mismanagement In the current wrestling ecosystem the only way to fail is to alienate your audience and talent. Something no promotion has been doing on a large scale.

22.03.2025 18:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Neither am I, but just as a rising tide lifts all ships, a sinking ship drags everything around it down with it. AEW being a monopoly would be bad for the industry.

22.03.2025 18:29 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

There are legitimate reasons to like and dislike all promotions for both on screen and behind the scenes. But damn there are people in the IWC rooting for the promotions they dislike to fail, and that's odd. A rising tide lifts all ships. I watch more WWE then AEW, I prefer their in house style.

That promo yesterday was tough to watch. Say what you will about Chatlotte, but she destroyed Tiffany. Tiffany looked uncomfortable repeating memorized talking points while Charlottt came off as a natural. In ring Tiffany is ready for her main event push, but on mike she's not quite there yet.

Bron Breakker has the potential to be a modern day Stone Cold Steve Austin, where he's booked like a face but talks and wrestles like a heel. We're at the start of something really special with him.
