Same. Having a couple people a week ask me if I sent them this kind of email. I did not.

This is true. One's agency is defined/constrained by what they understand the options and parameters of decisions to be. A whole lot of folks really do not want to confront how much US is actively attempting to constrain both. "We are the most free ever!" does a whole lot of work.

Yeah, this is really true. Damon's best performances are always opposite people who are really strong actors. Even Talented Mr. Ripley. Jude Law is better than he usually gets credit for, and Damon works off of him so well.

100%. Without her, Jason Bourne never really becomes a character we can care about. He'd still be fun to watch, but her performance in the first two films makes him someone we care about. His whole journey becomes about more than just the conspiracy in the abject.

She's plays a villain so well. I've seen her play villians in a few other things where the writing really didn't work, and she was still great. Great actress.

I don't think Nightbreed is a particularly great film, but I do 100% agree with this. Barker's films have a perspective that's different and unusual, and even when they weren't great, they were still interesting in ways a lot of horror isn't.

It's kind of crazy to me that people genuinely believe the Christians who are 100% into Zionism won't, at some point, get tired of waiting for end times prophesy that is the basis of their support of Zionism, and decide to just start a war to hurry it up. Imagine if they had a "Rapture button."

A large group of peaceful protesters was just arrested by what appears to be game wardens and other state police at the Whipple building. Minnesota State police are directly working with ice and the federal government to protect them and attack Minnesota’s citizens.

The people who marched through an American city shouting "Jews will not replace us," are the exact same people who nut their pants every single time the United States bombs and murders Muslims.

Christian and white in the nationalism are inextricable, and they want EVERYONE who isn't them to die.

Charlie Kirk dropped out of an Illinois community college after one semester. He later advised Gen Z that today's higher ed probably isn't worth it. A perfect icon for this regime's attitude toward becoming educated

Polymarkets seem bad but also the ultimate version of rampant encouragement to arbitrage everything. Find something neat on someone's stoop or at a thrift store? You should resell it online for more! Score tickets to a hot show? Resell them online! Figured out how to do something? Sell a course!

Making everything into an individual moral failing is an escape from having to confront how deeply, irrevocably sadistic and amoral many of the cultures and power structures of the United States actually are. One is an easy, self affirming accusation. The other confronts complicity.

I wrote about Plato in part because some of the most controlling people in education use references to Socrates in an attempt to dazzle people into believing they have authority that they just don’t have.
