Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat zelfs veel van mijn dapperste bondgenoten niet écht begrijpen hoe weerzinwekkend transhaat is en kan zijn/worden.

According to Labour it's 'woke' to not make trans women sex slaves in male prisons. This is bleak.

Des choses incroyables se passent en France.

Van neoliberaal naar extreemrechts zegmaar. Ookal was de weg naar autoritarisme natuurlijk ook al ingeslagen door New Labour met de War on Terror en de toenemende surveillance.

Dat klopt absoluut. Toch voelt dit Labour van Starmer nog wat extremer. Het gaat nog verder in de bezuinigingen, de oorlog tegen gehandicapte mensen, het racisme en de homofobie. Het haalt op veel vlakken zelfs de tories van 5-10 jaar geleden rechts in.

Nieuws gezien over hoe in de VS trans mensen helemaal niet meer naar sommige universiteiten kunnen en hoe Italië de gedetailleerde medische dossiers van alle trans mensen in een nationaal register gaat zetten.

Labour is nu nog meer anti trans dan Reform. Waarom zou iemand ooit nog op Labour stemmen? Welke campagnestrateeg heeft bedacht dat je als partij met linkse kiezers neoliberaal, ultravonservatief en extreemrechts beleid moet voeren?

Een inloopkast is de oplossing!

IKEA heeft de klepel horen luiden, maar is volkomen de klok kwijt wat betreft de oplossing voor een overschot.

Vanuit het brein dat bredere snelwegen als oplossing blijft opvoeren voor het overschot aan fossiel transport, wordt hier de inloopkast in elkaar gezet om fast fashion tegen te gaan.

Niemand gelooft natuurlijk echt dat een krant elk slecht geschreven, leugenachtig en ophitsend stuk zou moeten plaatsen. Mensen vinden transfobie gewoon niet erg.

Als ik een opiniestuk instuur waarin ik zag dat zwarte mensen niet mogen sporten omdat ze biologisch te sterk en te aggressief en seksueel gevaarlijk zijn. Zouden ze dat ook plaatsen?

I'm glad this specifically names and discusses the mechanisms of societal transmisogyny and harsh policing of transfemininity under patriarchy, which results in transfems staying closeted for longer. While the number of trans men and women are roughly equal, trans women tend to come out later.

JUSTICE FOR TRANS YOUTH On July 31st, a group of activists representing BASH BACK took action against Wes Streeting's office in Ilford, in response to his continued abuse of trans people in the medical system, and attempts to cover up the suicides of trans young people under his watch as Health Secretary. In the months since the puberty blockers ban, we have seen huge backpedals in the healthcare rights afforded to trans people - and young people especially - in an NHS system that was never kind to us in the first place. Under Streeting's rule, GPs have been banned from conducting blood tests on trans patients accessing HRT, and trans people have been banned from accessing hospital wards that fit their gender, leading necessarily to poorer quality of care across the board. Streeting, along with NHS England, the EHRC, and Hillary Cass, have paved the way for state-mandated conversion therapy, which has since led to the Department of Education's proposed introduction of a "Section 28" style bill, preventing discussion of transness in the classroom. It is clear now that Wes Streeting and the Labour government intend to erase trans people from public life, and will go out of their way to do so, no matter how many bodies lay in their path.

We refuse to sit and watch as trans young people have their healthcare stripped from them. We refuse to allow Streeting to cover up their suicides. We refuse to endure the violence and humiliation. They will have to go through us.
