I should say: cutting US funding for Gavi is a tragically misguided decision that can and should be reversed.

I work as an advocacy specialist for international development organisations. Mainly posting about this, a bit of politics and some sport and culture.

I'd like to understand their desirability ranking more but this article on what big data analysis shows on millions of dating messages is both fascinating and kinda predictable.

I do think the trend slightly ignores that we read masses more of short articles/blogs/tweets and that reduces need to read 280 page single issue books but broadly agree otherwise.

We seem to have now moved onto the stage that reporting on the impact of cuts is now a dismissal act.
The willful cruelty of this destruction of USAID is staggering.

But just going to post this synopsis of my general mood.
Super pleased with what our team and our partners have done with this work. Chimamanda and the young people in this video are telling an important story of how malaria holds back lives.
Give a bit support and repost this if you like it (not least as I need to show folks that BlueSky is real !!)

C'mon @bsky.app tho' - how hard can it be to bring bookmark functionality into the platform !!
No, not yet. And yes, it would take that level of figure tbh. I imagine we won't see them until some folks retire realistically.
There is one for the UK that goes deep into the detail of how legsilation was brough through but it's written from quite a specific perspective !!
HI BlueSky hive mind. I'd like to read a book on the big picture behind global health response to Covid-19. Also open to somethign more specifically focusedon UK govt response. Be grateful for any recommendations !!

2) Shamelessly - I'm in it .....
3) Love that lists are making a come back. My concerns with Elon are myriad but suspect i'm in the few thousand who also find it very annoying that he killed free Tweetdeck and thus made lists almost pointless
Starting to make headway with using Notebook LM for my work. Somewhat surprised that it can't work with Excel - surely that's the easiest form of data to understand and respond to queries on ?

Btw, if you get a lot of spam followers at start, BlueSky are working quite hard to stop this.

I've been using DeckBlue which is similar to the old tweetdeck and allows really good list viewing and bookmarks.
