God everything sucks.
This is what happens when tech bros use capital to dictate the means of creating culutre instead of facilitating it. This dudes don't have ideas about community or humanity in a way that actually facilities community and humanity.

weird how the guy born into obscene wealth, bailed out repeatedly, allowed to fail upwards forever until he fell ass-backwards into the presidency, and then was declared by the Supreme Court to be a Very Special Boy Who Can Crime Forever never stops whining about how everything is rigged against him

What Kind of Men Are These? Spinelessness as a career choice

โ€˜Trump threw one of his ALL CAPS tantrums, demanding once again that the world agree with him โ€ฆ and like good apparatchiks, the entire Republican establishment instantly went on Fox News and anywhere else they could to announce proudly to the world that, Yes! Ilse Bing left her native Germany and moved to Paris โ€“ the center of the art world โ€“ in 1929. In Paris, she flourished as a commercial photographer, freelancing for a variety of magazines, while also finding time to show her avant-garde photos in gallery shows. Bingโ€™s โ€œSelf-Portrait in Mirrorsโ€ (also sometimes titled โ€œSelf-Portrait with Leicaโ€) is a great example of her innovative and intuitive use of photography as an art form. This shot is actually a double portrait, showing both a front view and a side view with missing elements from one view (for example, her nose) being filled in by the other view: two points of view shown simultaneously as separate images within one frame. Genius! When the Nazis overran Paris in 1940, Bing was sent to an internment camp in the south of France. She was able to secure a visa and emigrated to New York City in 1941. Her photographic output slowed in the US and she put her camera down for good in 1959 to concentrate on writing poetry. Her impact on modern photography remains impressive, as she was among the first to use solarization, the electric flash and night compositions.

ILSE BING (1899 - 1998), โ€œSelf-Portrait in Mirrorsโ€, 1931.
She was one of the earliest photographers to use the new Leica 35 mm camera, which had a conveniently small size and a very fast shutter speed. She soon became known as โ€œthe Queen of the Leicaโ€.

Newman's photographic portraits are compelling and arresting, and are always carefully composed (and sometimes aggressively cropped). This narrative approach to portraiture has become almost commonplace today but was very radical back in the 1930s and 1940s when formality ruled the day. His photo portraits include famous artists, politicians, athletes and actors. Newmanโ€™s โ€œSelf-Portraitโ€ from 1939 was shot in Baltimore, Maryland and is an early example of his meticulous approach to composing his images. He has framed himself โ€“ with his camera, of course โ€“ reflected in a mirror while looking off into the future. He described his work as โ€œbuildingโ€ a portrait as opposed to โ€œtakingโ€ a portrait.

ARNOLD NEWMAN (1918 - 2006), โ€œSelf-Portraitโ€, 1939.
Newman perfected what became known as โ€œthe environmental portraitโ€: placing his subjects in a setting that reflected his or her personality.

What's it like to have Frank Lloyd Wright design your house? This 101-year-old knows Roland Reisley is the last original client of Frank Lloyd Wright, still living in the Usonian home designed by the famed architect. Even after 73 years, he told NPR, he still marvels at the beauty of ...

โ€˜Wright believed that the buildings we live in shape the people we become. He conceived of Usonia to make beautiful, affordable homes โ€“ including built-in furnishings โ€“ connected to nature for middle class Americansโ€™
