On Switch 1, it's pretty bad. Runs a lot better on Switch 2, but there are still performance drops. From what I've read/seen though, it's a huge improvement. Tempted to see for myself for $3...

Yeah, R-Type Delta, Gradius Gaiden, Sengoku Blade, and Darius Gaiden (Saturn) are some of my favorite horizontal shooters of that generation. You're making me want to play some!

Took me a long time to warm up to this one after the classics they produced on the Genesis, but I still do really like it. Free Range kinda makes it arguably too easy, but it remains a fun ride!

These are the Delpi standard ones. I remember having similar color accuracy issues with their HGGTO Guntank water slides, but maybe they did this to better match the red Permet parts. That's what I'm going with anyway. 😂

Their quality is superb so far though. Always a pleasure working with these!

It’s usually after I cut them off the runners and clean up the nub marks. Sometimes I’ll smear or erase part of one, or I’ll notice a crevice/detail I missed when initially lining the parts. But not too often after assembly unless I’ve used a pen.

Arms and water slides done.

Interesting that the color is more orange than pink when it comes to certain decals, but probably will hardly be noticeable when everything is assembled.

So far, pretty good! I kinda like this “1/100 HG” approach. Certainly easier on my eyes. 😅

The last several months for me have been all about supporting smaller, less expensive titles, and I've discovered so many that have been in the $5-10 range or less!

I'm really tired of spending $70-80 a pop, no matter how much I would like to try Pokopia right now. 😅

Slay the Spire II plays and feels great. 👍

I wasn't sure what I'd think about a sequel, but there are so many little (and not so little) changes that it really does feel like a completely new game that is immediately familiar.

Nearly 575k peak CCU in its first week too. Wow!

Spent the last hour or so getting all the runners panel lined.

I don’t usually do them this way, and I think it’s because it’s too much of the same thing all at once, so I tend to start rushing halfway-ish through.

On my next build, I’ll go back to doing everything one section at a time.

Nice timing on this being next, having just finished the MG 3.0. This was my first RG and it set the bar really high!

Messy panel lining & I had trouble with the stickers. This is one I’d like to build again.

Hahaha, so true. And in a strange moment of coincidence, I just looked at our bookshelf earlier today and my eyes were drawn to my copy of Hitchhiker’s Guide. Perhaps it’s time to dust that one off again.

Even at an early age, I wondered what was on the other side of the "edge of the universe", parallel universes, and what was here before. Even with my beliefs, these kinds of thoughts have only gotten stronger as I've gotten older.

I did! And I chose to start another loop. I read later about what happens if you don't, but I felt like moving on. 😊 Maybe if/when I come back, I'll choose the other option.

Along w/ the Hang-On/Safari Hunt pack-in, I got 2 other games that Christmas: Transbot & The Ninja.

While Transbot was an OK but very short/repetitive horizontal shooter, The Ninja was so good and is still one of my favorites!

Alex Kidd, Black Belt, and Fantasy Zone were some other early greats.

MAR10 Day reminds me that when I was 12, I wanted a Sega Master System instead of an NES. The reason? I saw an ad for it with a Cobra Command cart, so I assumed it would play LaserDisc games.

Yep. 😅

So for Xmas '86, a Master System is what I got. Small library by comparison, but I still loved it.

I just read that it runs at ~60fps now on Switch 2 thanks to its uncapped framerate! I'm gonna have to redownload it and give it a shot.

I really need to go back to this. I tried it on Switch years ago & it was so rough that I stopped after about an hour. And yet there was *something* about it. I just saw this series discussed on one of the DF Retro specials, and I think I'll need to try out the PS2 entries, Raw Danger in particular!

Woke up this morning to the game basically "beaten". I finished out all the projects, upgrades, and allocations I could. Didn't really change anything. 😂 Good stuff. I kinda want to buy a t-shirt now and see if anyone out there gets it...
