You have to figure out how to work around the standard blue problems, though. There's a fairies tutor that lets you pull a card from outside the game, so when that is legal, it gives you access to a win condition.

Caveats: I never had a good deck with fairies, and I haven't built standard decks since Eldraine. However, I had a system that I liked: blue fairies with flash supporting a standard control deck. The trick is you always want to play on the opponent's turn. The Eldraine dual-purpose cards were great.
