To the transgender community: our commitment remains firm. We will keep fighting like hell alongside you for your right to healthcare.

To New York’s healthcare providers and government: hold the line. Do not acquiesce to this cruelty. Protect our people and our state.

NYU Langone: shame on you for bending the knee to the Trump Administration and closing the Transgender Youth Health Program. It is a disturbing violation of the Hippocratic Oath (First, Do No Harm) to cancel care that is proven to save lives.

All major medical associations agree: gender affirming care is lifesaving healthcare that improves the physical health, mental health, and wellbeing of transgender youth.

Removing access to gender affirming care leads to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicide attempts among transgender youth.

Shame on NYU Langone for bending the knee to the Trump administration and closing the Transgender Youth Health Program 🏳️‍⚧️✊🏽

The World Cup Is Coming. Our Cities Must Protect Their People. Op-ed: As elected officials from U.S. host cities, we know that local governments are the last line of defense against human rights abuses during the FIFA World Cup.

Soccer belongs to everyone. But often, the institutions and elites behind the sport build walls where there should be open fields. We want to welcome the world — but not at the expense of our people and planet.

Tweet by Julie Menin saying:

This afternoon, a City Council employee was detained by federal immigration officials at a routine immigration appointment. He had legal authorization to remain in the country until October of this year.

We are doing everything we can to secure his immediate release, and we demand swift and transparent action by the federal government on this apparent overreach.

Across the nation, we have seen aggressive escalations by ICE that raise serious concerns on the use of excessive force and a lack of accountability.

As New Yorkers, we will stand up for the rights and dignity of every neighbor.

A public servant was detained by ICE. Masked police kidnapping a City Council employee who works every day for New Yorkers doesn’t make us safe. Trump’s deportation agenda was never about safety. It’s about scapegoating immigrants for problems caused by billionaires. Free our neighbors. Abolish ICE.

Props to @ny4childcare.bsky.social and every parent, advocate, caregiver, public servant and teacher who worked so hard to get us to this point — and to @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and Governor Hochul for the will to make it a reality.

ICE shot and killed a woman.

Now they follow their fascist playbook: lying and gaslighting to cover up their actions and villainize the victim. If you can stomach it, the video contradicts DHS’s fiction.

ABOLISH ICE. They kill and kidnap our neighbors. They endanger us all.

Trump and his cronies want a new Iraq war. They want regional disaster.

Trump launched an illegal, unconstitutional, unprovoked act of war against Venezuela.

This attack was for oil and power. To distract from the Epstein files and the Trump Administration's assault on democracy. And it violated international law.

Eric Adams vetoed 19 bills on his last day in office.

Petty and pathetic. We will overturn these vetoes. Good riddance.

WE DID IT. We passed the most significant update of NY’s sanctuary city laws in nearly a decade, and the first major piece of immigration legislation to be passed by the Council during the second Trump administration! FYI: If it passes tomorrow, the Safer Sanctuary Act would be the most significant update of New York’s sanctuary city laws in nearly a decade, and the first major piece of immigration legislation to be passed by the Council during the second Trump administration.
