Unfortunately, it's a tool many lay people use daily without ever considering if the information they receive is accurate, which was the point of the post.
Legacy internet searches provided sources with the information, allowing a discerning user to determine the difference between fact and opinion. AI conflates the two and presents all as fact. And at the top of the page.
The average lay person doesn't have the knowledge to know the difference.
