For a belated Caturday I present to you this beautiful stray cat that started coming around at night. Very friendly and good-natured, with a stunning tail

I think we might be in the process of mutually romancing each other, and things are moving fast. Thinking of names…

I just got curious because I also took calls from Spanish speakers, and I generally just used common first names for the letters

It’s unclear to me if there’s an equally official phonetic alphabet, but I love that from the ones I’m finding, Q is almost universally β€œcheese” πŸ§€

I always assumed that when someone provided info this way that they were military or a pilot

Oh no I was admiring the text too. I’ve been bingeing on ER and just heard it recently. I don’t make or drink coffee though so it’s not a very helpful reference for me lol

That menacing biohazard symbol was on the front of the book β€œOutbreak”—yummy!

To be fair though it is some pretty badass graphic design…

Were they dorky? Yeah, but there was still a market. Two visiting French students were astonished when my mom showed them that the tailgate opened TWO ways

Indiana. But being that Ford made them until 1991, they were clearly popular well into the 80s

I get that salaries are theoretically higher there, but I can’t imagine it’s proportional to the ratio in the Midwest

I still remember learning about it reading this book as a kid in the 80s.

Read to your kids, peopleβ€”it pays dividends to them and to society

A long overdue observance of Caturday

Here Magda snoozes on her back, revealing her smoke-colored underside. She was entirely black when I got her six years ago, but later went lighter underneath πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸˆβ€β¬›πŸΎπŸΎπŸΎ

Yes, luckily he got over it and then we just acted like nothing happened lol There are some complicated family dynamicsβ€”my mom is from a family of 14, which not surprising led to some not having healthy interpersonal skills. There are other estrangements that have gone on for decades though πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

For sureβ€”my uncle didn’t speak to my mom for two years because she had the gall to ask him to put his two Australian shepherds up when my young nephews were there because the dogs would herd them and nip at them. To him she was questioning his control over his dogsβ€”it is their instinct! So dumb.

I’m the same way with dogs. I’m sure to a dog person they feel like open books, but not having grown up with them, I don’t speak dog. It’s still weird to me that they don’t purr when you pet them lol
