So. I made this. It took me a few months as I worked on it on the odd free afternoons. But I think it is pretty awesome.

Read the article that sparked these thoughts:

6/ π This could be a defining moment for corporate accountability.
Weβre evolving toward clearer, stronger rulesβand companies must adapt.
Because sustainable, ethical practices arenβt just about compliance. Theyβre about survival.
5/ πΊοΈ With the #2030 UN #SDG deadline approaching, the pressure is mounting.
#EthicalSupplyChains arenβt optionalβtheyβre essential.
The stakes? Brands risk more than their reputations; operational & financial stability are on the line.
4/ π‘ Why does this matter?
If companies ignore their supply chains, the risks are massive:
#HumanRightsViolations
Regulatory non-compliance
Market backlash
The #Congo case is a wake-up call for businesses with complex, global value chains.
3/ Europe driving change w/ stricter regulations
π«π· Duty of Vigilance Law (Loi sur le devoir de vigilance)
π©πͺ Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)
π³π΄ Transparency Act (Γ
penhetsloven)
Add in the EUβs CSRD & CS3D, lead to this: Companies must disclose how they manage environmental & human rights risks πΏ
2/ π A global shift is happening.
Countries are tightening laws on supply chain transparency & human rights. This case highlights how failure to address risksβespecially conflict mineralsβcan lead to legal, reputational, and financial consequences.
Letβs zoom out to the bigger picture π§΅
An aerial shot where you can see the evident marks of mining in the terrain
βοΈ 1/ Today, the Democratic Republic of Congo filed criminal complaints against Apple in π§πͺ Belgium & π«π· France over alleged use of conflict minerals.
This isnβt just another caseβit could be a game changer for supply chain accountability. Hereβs why π
7/ The clock is ticking, but thereβs still time to make a difference. Letβs work together to create a more sustainable future. π± What changes are you making today for tomorrow? #ClimateActionNow #SustainabilityInEntertainment
17.12.2024 10:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 06/ These changes may seem small, but collectively, they can make a huge impact. Itβs time for the entertainment industry to lead the charge in sustainability. Every action counts, and together, we can help mitigate climate change. π #SustainableEntertainment
17.12.2024 10:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 05/ Waste management also needs a change. Composting organic waste can reduce emissions by 41 kg CO2e per tonne, compared to landfilling. Itβs time to stop tossing everything into non-recyclable bins and start turning waste into valuable matter. β»οΈ #WasteManagement #Composting
17.12.2024 10:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 04/ Next up: rethinking materials. Why stick with high-emission steel and concrete when biomaterials like bacteria-based insulation and wood (stronger than steel per unit of weight) could transform construction? Letβs shift toward sustainable alternatives. π± #Biomaterials
17.12.2024 10:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 03/ But thereβs hope! The entertainment industryβparks, museums, and moreβhas a major role to play. Adaptation starts now. Letβs rethink urban landscapes with native plants and green spaces to cool the environment and act as carbon sinks. πΏ #GreenDesign #SustainableParks
17.12.2024 10:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 02/ The impacts are already felt: cities could see 5.2 heatwaves/year, with longer allergy seasons, food shortages, and stressed water supplies. Itβs a reality that affects everything, including our favorite roller coasters and museums. π‘οΈ #ClimateCrisis
17.12.2024 10:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 01/ As we approach 2025, global temperatures have surged. 2024 is officially the warmest year on record, averaging 1.62Β°C above pre-industrial levels. The Climate Clock is ticking, and weβve got 4 years and 217 days to prevent a permanent 1.5Β°C rise. #ClimateAction

One idea that stuck: βWood used in a tree is stronger than steel or concrete per unit of weight.β π€― This could change how we use materialsβreplacing concrete and steel with wood! #Biomimicry at its best. π·π»ββοΈπ
