So. I made this. It took me a few months as I worked on it on the odd free afternoons. But I think it is pretty awesome.

Exclusive: Congo files criminal complaints against Apple in Europe over conflict minerals The Democratic Republic of Congo has filed criminal complaints against Apple subsidiaries in France and Belgium, accusing the tech firm of using conflict minerals in its supply chain, lawyers for the Congolese government told Reuters.

7/ Curious about the case? πŸ“°

6/ πŸ’š This could be a defining moment for corporate accountability.
We’re evolving toward clearer, stronger rulesβ€”and companies must adapt.

Because sustainable, ethical practices aren’t just about compliance. They’re about survival.

5/ πŸ—ΊοΈ With the #2030 UN #SDG deadline approaching, the pressure is mounting.
#EthicalSupplyChains aren’t optionalβ€”they’re essential.

The stakes? Brands risk more than their reputations; operational & financial stability are on the line.

4/ πŸ’‘ Why does this matter?
If companies ignore their supply chains, the risks are massive:

#HumanRightsViolations
Regulatory non-compliance
Market backlash
The #Congo case is a wake-up call for businesses with complex, global value chains.

3/ Europe driving change w/ stricter regulations
Add in the EU’s CSRD & CS3D, lead to this: Companies must disclose how they manage environmental & human rights risks 🌿

2/ 🌍 A global shift is happening.
Countries are tightening laws on supply chain transparency & human rights. This case highlights how failure to address risksβ€”especially conflict mineralsβ€”can lead to legal, reputational, and financial consequences.

Let’s zoom out to the bigger picture 🧡

βš–οΈ 1/ Today, the Democratic Republic of Congo filed criminal complaints against Apple in πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ Belgium & πŸ‡«πŸ‡· France over alleged use of conflict minerals.

This isn’t just another caseβ€”it could be a game changer for supply chain accountability. Here’s why πŸ‘‡

7/ The clock is ticking, but there’s still time to make a difference. Let’s work together to create a more sustainable future. 🌱 What changes are you making today for tomorrow? #ClimateActionNow #SustainabilityInEntertainment

6/ These changes may seem small, but collectively, they can make a huge impact. It’s time for the entertainment industry to lead the charge in sustainability. Every action counts, and together, we can help mitigate climate change. 🌍 #SustainableEntertainment

5/ Waste management also needs a change. Composting organic waste can reduce emissions by 41 kg CO2e per tonne, compared to landfilling. It’s time to stop tossing everything into non-recyclable bins and start turning waste into valuable matter. ♻️ #WasteManagement #Composting

17.12.2024 10:06 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

4/ Next up: rethinking materials. Why stick with high-emission steel and concrete when biomaterials like bacteria-based insulation and wood (stronger than steel per unit of weight) could transform construction? Let’s shift toward sustainable alternatives. 🌱 #Biomaterials

17.12.2024 10:06 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

3/ But there’s hope! The entertainment industryβ€”parks, museums, and moreβ€”has a major role to play. Adaptation starts now. Let’s rethink urban landscapes with native plants and green spaces to cool the environment and act as carbon sinks. 🌿 #GreenDesign #SustainableParks

2/ The impacts are already felt: cities could see 5.2 heatwaves/year, with longer allergy seasons, food shortages, and stressed water supplies. It’s a reality that affects everything, including our favorite roller coasters and museums. 🌑️ #ClimateCrisis

1/ As we approach 2025, global temperatures have surged. 2024 is officially the warmest year on record, averaging 1.62Β°C above pre-industrial levels. The Climate Clock is ticking, and we’ve got 4 years and 217 days to prevent a permanent 1.5Β°C rise. #ClimateAction

This week, I got to hear my friend Andrés Mitnik talk about Strong by Form at the #iaac. 🌳

One idea that stuck: β€œWood used in a tree is stronger than steel or concrete per unit of weight.” 🀯 This could change how we use materialsβ€”replacing concrete and steel with wood! #Biomimicry at its best. πŸ‘·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸŒ

For sure! I was blown away with the work #Efteling does in their sustainability too! I’m not saying parks don’t do it. I’m saying there is a lot more tons of parks can do πŸ’š. Especially those who are not as mature in the topic yet. Also, I would love to see some park mentoring networks
