so many of the stories I've read recently would make unbelievable adaptations but it's mostly niche genre so they'd never be taken on 💔

i've turned to books more often now as tv and film has almost completely stopped making content for anyone other than the broadest audience possible

the masters learned to draw and paint from observation and figure drawing. these methods are the gold standard and they are FREE to CHEAP. Most areas have life drawing sessions for around 10-12$ for a few hours. most instruction online is just how to use digital programs effectively NOT how to draw

i actually think there is WAY too much knowledge sharing about drawing online right now. results in people all making the same stuff. so much more gratifying to find the answers on your own in the world through experimentation and observation + your work will be better for it

well... yeah when they say artists are 'gatekeeping' they just mean 'i'm lazy and don't want to put years of my life into this' which yknow i firmly believe that if your brain wants to make art the body is gonna make art. the force is undeniable
