I am! The anecdote was more to show that building the app isn't the end. Modern deployment and service providers are a pain.

That's when the spammers showed up, and used my email confirmation email and password reset email to ddos other's inboxes.

Back into maintenance mode.

Now I have to set up recaptcha or turnstile.

Then it was email for email confirmation. The big providers kept cancelling and blocking my accounts with no explanation or requiring manual verification.

I suspect this was because I signed up with a Gmail account.

I set up an email on the domain, new provider, life was good! Deployed!

First it was deploying it. It was on Heroku when they changed from free to paid, and their paid database change deleted my database. I deployed it on Render (and have been paying for months).

I love this color! I'm excited to see the final result!

I finally got the house sorted, but I'm still behind on groceries and laundry. Obviously, my social calendar had to be postponed for the conf, so I have 4 engagements, when I normally have 1-2.

I think 1-2 weeks recovery is normal, before you're back into the groove of things.

San Francisco Ruby Conference CFP is closed with 89 proposals (not including Ruby startup demo applications)–thank you all! The program committee is now reviewing them, and we plan to communicate the results on July 22. I'm excited for how it's coming together!
