Having a day of finishing things. I completed this Canevas Folies pattern in May, but only now getting around to doing something with it. It’s too easy to just leave things in the done pile, & move on to the next project without giving them a decorative or functional purpose…
Just framed this pretty Roseworks pattern ready to be sent off as a gift.
It’s hard I know. Six years and still can face the idea of another…

Lovely day trip to Caerphilly castle today. So easy to neglect things close to home, but this was definitely worth a re-visit after 15+years. I know it’s at least that long as no photos on my phone!

Just finished this lovely little Melbury Hill kit. I went quite rouge though, and decided to use my stash of beautiful hand dyed silk & wool threads for the foliage & moth.

Yes exactly that, stops the wool in the completed areas being damaged & hoop marks in the fabric.
I’ve been busy with embroidery - my current project includes another peacock.
I’v been kind of hiding from reality & really busy in work…

We are still trying to convince British Gas that our actual usage is £158% less that their ‘estimate’!!!
We caved & ordered a smart metre to try to get it resolved & then that got cancelled & rebooked with no warning & no one bothered to tell us! So much sighing….
I’m please with the way this lovely little Jenny Blair pattern has worked out. I used to be scared of PDF patterns, but this one was fairly easy to trace. There is something very satisfying about creating a physical object this way.

Yep, when I got caught I was right in the middle of dealing with a problem, and …. sigh.
I’m glad the do it actually - much better to be mortified and learn from it than a BL scenario!
