I remember going to see Nikki Giovanni when I was in college and we sat around her feet. Her energy filled the room and her smile was enrapturing. I literally cried before and after. A beautiful soul, and she had on purple eyeliner. I hope she’s enveloped in love with the ancestors. Rest in power 💜
