The US is willing to let Russia and Ukraine keep fighting until all the Trump's, Kirshner's, Witkopf's and other billionaires have secured lucrative contracts stealing the resources and wealth of the the Ukrainian people.

One of the curses of living in an open society, I'm afraid. It can affect voter turn-out for those less than enthusiastic voters.
