70 years ago at my US summer job, a co-worker who visiting from Norway, would tell me how “backward” the US was. I was angry until she began telling me about 4-week paid vacations, free medical care, healthy foods, and all the counties she at 24 yrs. had visited on her office worker’s pay there.

"Golfer's Hand". The thumb side up gets so much sun the skin thins out and bleeds easily, especially at 80+ years. Not to spoil the diagnosis. A former employer has both hands looking like dark, cured meat and I looked it up
