I have been informed that the new Muppet Show is purposefully trying to continue to try new things and not just play all the hits, so that's also a very good sign.

Maybe I am over-reacting though. Even if it didn't perform as well as hoped, Muppet Mayhem shows that the performers know what they are doing, so long as they are allowed into the writers room and production staff. I really hope that the new Muppet Show gives them the space to do so.

It's been a while since it came out, and I'm still bristling whenever people compliment the new Muppet Show one-off by saying that this is 'what they should have done ages ago'

I'm glad it's good. I hope they make more.

But it needs to be more than just this one thing.

The longer I live, the more that the concept of the Hedgehog's Dilemma makes sense to me, but also shows that it's more complicated an issue than people simplify it to be.

Knowing who we can be vulnerable with, and how vulnerable, is really difficult. And inherently never risk-free.

Following on from my last post, I think it is clear that I need to hang out with friends more. It's just so much better for my mental health, even if it can feel like an effort at times to get the ball rolling.

This is a feature, not a bug.

One of the best things about hanging around with others, including as a guest on other people's streams, is that you find out what sort of vibe you create when being with certain people.

For example, it seems that hanging out with @eldritchzoe.bsky.social turns me into a British pop-culture gremlin

Sounds like a big job. I don't think I have the spoons for that.

But what if my morale collapsed years ago, Zoe? :3
