Crazy that Democrats didn't campaign on that in 2020 and 2024.
08.11.2025 21:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0If you cite facts to a Republican, they're likely to feel personally insulted.
08.11.2025 19:24 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0But tge real question is how to stop Republicans from voting for incompetent buffoons.

There's something deeply wrong with the organization. They've had many coaches and GMs over the last 10+ years, many high draft picks...the results are always the same. Last year the word was the Sabres just needed better goaltending. They got it this year, but they're still just a .500 team.
08.11.2025 13:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yet tens of millions of Republicans still support him.

07.11.2025 17:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Republicans watch their ideas fail time and time again, and the only thing they take away is that they need to lie harder.
07.11.2025 15:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Republicans have been groomed to be obedient for 50 years. It's no longer a political party; it's a suicide pact.

If Musk is that irreplaceable, the company has a fatal vulnerability.
The U.S. needs entrepreneurs, it doesn't necessarily need Musk.
Good to attack Johnson for a change (rather than Trump).
Better to attack the way Republicans think.

Attack the way Republicans think.
epurchaseattack.substack.com/p/how-to-sma...
The Republican Party is made up of several factions, but they all share four ways of thinking about themselves in relation to the world. If Democrats can invalidate these habits of thinking, they will disorient Republicans and lure some of them away.

Repair the damage
Punish those responsible
Do what works
Sure, Dems won big Tuesday and will probably win big next year. But they did the same when W. was president. Then Rs chose an even more militant candidate. The same will happen after Trump unless Dems start shifting the blame from Trump to Rs.

After the Great Depression, Republicans were distrusted for almost two generations. Not Herbert Hoover. Republicans. That's how FDR and Truman framed it. Trump is the face of discontent today because Democrats blame him, not Republicans.
06.11.2025 13:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A majority of white people in liberal NJ voted Republican. Why? Because Democrats spend 90% of their time attacking Trump, not the Republican Party.
06.11.2025 12:59 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Democrats should up their demands.
05.11.2025 20:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The point I've been trying to hammer home is that Democrats have not fundamentally changed politics. This is just a predictable swing of the pendulum toward Democrats. It will swing back to Republicans because voters and Democrats don't blame them, they blame Trump.
05.11.2025 20:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0No, Republicans will mostly escape just as they did after W. Democrats have been telling voters over and over for 10 years that Trump is the problem.
05.11.2025 18:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is not good for Democrats. Republicans are escaping responsibility. Trump is their scapegoat. At the right moment they will send him off into the wilderness bearing all their sins, and they will be free to continue enacting bad ideas.
05.11.2025 17:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0My goodness. How long I've waited for Dems to name names.
05.11.2025 17:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Is he going to admit that he has been wrong about everything?
05.11.2025 17:37 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Did Gorsuch mean that as a positive outcome? Hard to tell with this Republican Supreme Court.
05.11.2025 17:35 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The press should ask every Republican in Congress whether they support Trump's effort to ensure only Republicans win elections.
05.11.2025 17:12 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Predictablely, Democrats are congratulating themselves for a victory that fell in their lap.

Don't let yesterday's election fool you. Democrats still haven't done what it takes to tilt the playing field in their favor. Sure Democrats worked hard. But they worked hard last year and lost. Voters dislike Yrump. They haven't shifted from the Republicans to the Democrats.
05.11.2025 13:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is good as far as it goes, but it doesn't go far. Democrats need to think more strategically.

Dick Cheney is responsible for MAGA in two big ways. 1 In office, his conservative ideas failed. Instead of acknowledging it, he lied. 2 Out of office, he never rethought. So his opposition to Trump, who simply does more of what Bush/Cheney did, carried no weight.
