Holy shit I've been juggling so many things recently but I remembered it's just over 2 weeks until my birthday, which, more importantly, means it's also just over two weeks until I'm going to be at the same con as Brandon.

I still can't believe that Blitzø and Stolas just live together now and we're probably going to get to hear Blitzø giving him more pet names in canon.

It feels so different to just draw something and remember how much I struggled with a similar idea a year ago and realise that now I can do it some justice 🧡

Like, even if it means I never do numbers and struggle to find refs, I'm incredibly happy I found *my* Blitz and figured out the unique little touches I could inject into him. There's still a lot I want to work on, but it's made me a better artist in many little aspects. I am actually getting there.

I was been debating whether I wanted to post this or not, but I've spent the last month quietly trying to claw my way out of a really deep art pit, and it was getting to me really bad yesterday. But analysing what a year of trial and error did for my art has helped so much.

Am I posting self-indulgent art early in the morning because I'm desperately seeking validation, only to take it as proof of my percieved artistic failure when it gets no attention, because nobody is awake to see it? Haha, why yes, of course.

I've also been wanting to draw something inspired by that ghostfuckers scene since it dropped, and struggled so much that I haven't posted any of my attempts. So revisiting it a year later and realising how much my art has actually improved, even if I can still see imperfections, helped me a lot.

Thank you 🧡 Yeah, it's frustrating, and honestly, I feel it with writing too atm so it sucks so much that I can't just jump to another creative output. The gap with writing doesn't get talked about as much, but knowing that something needs to change and not knowing how is just a frustrating.

Ugh, I don't think I've had this much of a creative low in a long time. Literally everything I'm creating isn't good enough. Like, I can nitpick every aspect of it, but can't find a solution that doesn't involve throwing it out and starting again, making something new that fails in the same ways.

Wow, isn't it so fun (deeply upsetting) that my mental health is tied to my artistic success 👍

I think I need to just go back to art fundamentals, because I never fucking learned that shit, and it really feels like it's showing. So much shit I've sketched recently, I just deleted or didn't bother posting

Oh for sure. There are so many smaller things in canon too that could have a huge effect.
Waiting a little longer before introducing Via and Blitz. Telling her at least some of the truth so it didn't come as such a slap to the face. If both of them would just ASK instead of assuming everything!

I've tackled Stolas & Via's relationship across a few different AUs and it's so interesting and hearbreaking to realise how little needed to change for them to be in a healthier place, and yet neither of them had the tools, both physical and mental to realise/make those changes.

Once I've finished my bang fic, I've been considering taking writing comms, maybe in the new year 🤔
