One of the weirdest advantages of teaching this Codebreaking class is I'll catch myself having fun and "goofing off" in my office, chastise myself for it, then realize that, no, I'm actually prepping for class. :-D

Weird how they leave out the fact that a single container ship can generate as much pollution in a year as 50 Million cars (or one container ship = 100x all the world's inhalers) or the fact that there are about 1 billion cars in the world (so inhalers = .0005 car pollution).

Are we seeing the same feedback on this? Because the pushback I'm seeing is less "here's a woman we can judge for the zeitgeist" and more "there is no person here at all."

A few years ago, my wife worked retail with the fully-expected age gap with most of her co-workers. In one conversation with such a co-worker, co-worker confided that her Dad liked classic rock: "Like AC/DC... and The Killers."

Holy poop, I wasn't sure how many people realized the turn that comic took but didn't want to call attention to it by asking.
Part of me REALLY wants to write a book about the Aughts webcomic scene, but another part of me is like "I'll have to address this comic, won't I?" I SO don't want to.

No... no, I think you got it right. I've tried to follow this without actually sending traffic his way, but this not only sounds right, it actually fits with more recent comics.

Double oh! And Sam Logan (@samandfuzzy.com) is hardly new to the block, but the stuff he's been doing over at "Sam and Fuzzy" recently -- messing with the fourth wall, panel borders, panel chronology and causality -- has been a ton of fun!
