Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.

Got to see #JurassicWorldRebirth today and it was a blast! Loved how they included some more recent dinosaur discoveries such as the fact that T-Rex was probably a great swimmer!
(He was really just upset they stole his squeaky toy that whole scene lol 🦖🌊)

The Elio vs Kpop DH conversation I feel like has really shown that Pixar has really needed to be challenged for a solid decade now. Pixar didn't fail at the box office because they finally put out an original IP, they failed because it didn't say or do anything unique, specific, or meaningful 💔

It's pride month, please go out there and support queer artists and that doesn't even mean with money. There are so many indie folks out there with shit that is free that you can enjoy. Just check out there stuff and tell them what you like. Foster and grow your community through tending to it.

Oracle of Ages for GB will always be peak for me 🌱💚

This has honestly helped me take my time and actually work on my art longer and not just anxiety post before it's ready just for the 'algorithm', due to how long the glaze and nightshade process takes.

I'm halfway through the video and it's been incredibly insightful! Definitely one of the best talks on lettering I've ever listened to 👌✨Crazy this video has under 1k views atm, I hope it reaches more artists!

Make comics. Actually make them and FINISH them and MOVE ON and make another one and another. Start small. Make a one panel comic. Make a one page comic. Make a two or three page comic. Make a five page comic. Now you've really learned something! Keep going.

Happy Saturday with an early morning Oreo! 🐾✨ Her favorite thing is to stare into my *soul* while I get my morning reading and sketches in 👀

I wanna try this so bad with some cool VR games I have, but can't figure out how a sketchbook is gonna fit into the whole "headset blocking my eyes from my real hands" part 😭

People have actually meant: "I love how nostalgic your work makes me feel. You draw your characters with very appealing poses and emotional expressions. It reminds me of the media I loved growing up and I want to know their stories" 💖

Absolutely that natural "making connections through similarities" part of our brains. It's a short cut to describe like things, but it also can often rob what that person really appreciates about *your* art specifically. Often it's just people don't know how to break down their actual thoughts.
