I'm more a Serious Sam than a Solid Snake gamer, but so far this is pretty good. That it runs so well on a Nintendo console is amazing (to me).

Should keep me going until Metroid 4 and Octopath Zero arrive for Christmas. Although given how well this performs, Cyberpunk is looking very attractive...

Every GM often feels like that if it helps. I write maybe a paragraph or two overview now, with some key supporting characters and just follow the players' lead in what actually happens

Nice, both great choices. Sinopticon particularly so because you get a lot of context around the shorter (but expanding) history of of China's SF movement and how their culture influences the stories

I'm slowly branching out across that side of Europe. I find there's much more interesting stories being told away from the traditional US/UK stuff. The only Polish writer I've read is Andrzej Sapkowski (The Witcher), but he's more fantasy

Yeah it's on my list too. The only reason I didn't get it with my last round was the size. I might wait for a paperback

My Star Wars Outlaws arrived earlier, so starting that tonight as well.

It won’t be proper pulp adventure Star Wars which seems to be long since gone sadly, but hopefully pass as a decent grungy space opera setting

It certainly performs well on the Switch 2

I haven't. I think I've played the official remake though. Most of the mainline Metroid games I think I've completed, outside of Prime 2, 3, and Other M.

Whilst I await Star Wars Outlaws, it is time for my eighth Castlevania of the year: Order of Ecclesia

This will be the last of the handheld games excluding anything from the 3DS era. I need to check if I own that one

A shame given how much sheer quality has been produced in a single year across multiple genres. Probably the stand out publisher for 2025

As excellent as the GC version was back in the day, the remaster is near perfect and adds in motion controls too

Either way, it’s easily one of the greatest games of all time. I hope they remaster 2 & 3 since I never played those

I mostly play GW2, but I have redownloaded GW1 to play around a bit when the reforged stuff begins dropping

Game Completion 18: Metroid Prime Remastered

A tough and long boss fight got a bit irritating and a lost scan scuppered going for 100%. It’s otherwise one of the best Metroid games. Simply superb game.
