If he was a major character that stuck around I think he would’ve been in one of the 5 or so trailers they’ve put out and not only seen for the first time ever in gameplay previews from review sites
I don’t get why people are acting like he’s permanent companion and not just one of the many troopers you help on a side quest. We’d never even seen him until these review site demos. If he was actually a major character I feel like he would’ve been in…literally any of the marketing
