Thatβs a very good point. A VERY good point.
You're not alone in that.
Question for the book folk here: How often do you find your next read on this app?

Smart. I need to get a database set up to track what I'm doing and plan my content ahead of time. Right now, I'm just operating on pure hope. π
That's probably a good idea. Like batch film all my TikToks for the week on Monday; prep Insta posts on Tuesday; draft a newsletter on Wednesday; ect. I'm gonna give that a go and report back.
Anyone currently protesting ICE: when you get home, your body needs to process a lot of emotions to prevent lasting PTSD. Cuddle, cry, dance, scream, just let it out. If you don't, the trauma will fester. Please take care of eachother, and thank you for showing America how to fight back. β
Trying to keep up with three different social media accounts, a newsletter, and a website while writing a book is really, really hard. Anyone have any tips for staying sane while juggling this much? #booksky

Oh, that's smart. I've tried to outline, but my brain can't see the big picture until after I have a full draft. I usually plan out character arcs, big plot points, and then just hope my way through it. Fortunately, I hit a breakthrough today and am finally making progress. π
π« Iβll be fine.
Anyone else run into a wall when drafting book two in a series? I've written about 20,000 words, and I still can't figure my shit out. ππ

Does being a human popsicle count?
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! π
Started reading The Stars We Carry by E.S. Brandon, and I'm really enjoying it! The FMC is an engineer, holding together a failing starship headed to Alpha Centauri, when one of the cryo-pods starts to fail, and she has to wake up the very handsome occupant. #scifiromance πΆοΈππ
I did an interview about the world-building in my sci-fi romance novel, Thread and Stone. Check it out if you're interested in alien politics, the dark forest theory, and the multi-species society question!

It's -2 F in Iowa, and I'm over it.
My dog doesn't want to be inside, and she doesn't want me in there either.
But I'm a human. I don't have a thick fur coat; I have a soft, fleshy body not built for these conditions.

Am I the only one who thinks Quasimodo should have gotten the girl?
World-building tip:
1. Build your story first
2. Find every detail in your story and ask, "Why?"
3. Answer the 'whys' to build the world
You'll avoid info-dumping, adding unnecessary details, or having to delete parts of your world you've grown attached to.

Writing romance with a lot of plot feels like writing two books at the same time, and damn do I feel like I'm juggling too many balls... *pun intended*

When you used to live next to a ski area that only got wet, heavy snow, but now you live in the flats of Iowa, and it only gets light, fluffy snow.
Author Horror Micro-Story:
You write the blurb for your back cover.
You published the book.
