And I’ll admit: maybe Ange ISN’T the guy, maybe he’s out of his depth. But IMO we can’t know that yet because the rebuild has just begun. So if I’m deciding, I give him the rest of the season & the Jan/Aug windows, then decide.

This years team is WAY different from last years. So why is “last year+” relevant? It’s not.

More relevant: we’ve scored 2nd most goals & conceded 3rd-4th fewest. That feels like a process working… even if results haven’t caught up.

Except ManU, City, Villa, et al. But maybe you’re right. Or maybe, with a very young squad, indoctrinating a system is more important than eking out an occasional 1-1 draw.

I hear you. But I don’t think we’re winning this game if we park the bus. So losing 6-3 is to me not worse than losing 1-0.

Or maybe we don’t let Levy off the hook by firing another manager who’s actually playing an entertaining style? And we see what Ange can do with a healthy squad and a handful of non-youth signings? Or were you stoked for Solanke and the kids?

It’s not ideal, but scoring 3 vs. the best team in the country while 6 starters are out doesn’t feel like the end of the world.

And if you don’t see Ange subtly adjusting RB/LB positioning, pressing structure/triggers, etc then maybe you’re not watching super closely.

He makes constant adjustments all the time. Just doesn’t switch to Conte sufferball like the pundits seem to think he should.

Ange did what he could with the players we had available. They were playing like prime Madrid today.

We were some of the only buyers last January. I have faith we'll find some more bench depth at least.

The team has been gutted. What we need, imo, is a deeper bench -- especially in the light of all these long-term injuries. Ange also needs to get better at rotating... Spence should've seen a lot more game time thus far.

Anyway, two draws in what is likely to be our toughest period in the season, with 5 starters and something like 9 total players out of the squad, doesn’t seem to be a catastrophe to me. 

Better times ahead, hopefully.

Absolutely. It’s frustrating, but as tired as we looked, I count today as a result.

Need to dig in and find some grit until we get some players back. And Levy better be signing players quick in January!

But I won’t argue w you. He’s too slow to change a game often times.

Yeah… he did try, if a little late. Though I think he brought in Deki at 60 minutes or thereabouts. Which felt ok.

We better bring in at least two in January… Because with the injuries we’ve had, we look completely done. And the festive log jam of games has just begun!

Don’t you think it’s just that they are tired? It looked clear that they had played a game on Thursday and Fulham hadn’t. Not to mention the razor thin squad.

I don’t think it was bad game mgmt, to be honest. I think our players just looked very tired which is to be expected because we played Thursday, don’t have a deep squad, and are suffering a lot of injuries and illness. I agree I would’ve started Lankshear though.
