Details you might missed in my recent drawing:

1. Her pupil is separated into a broken heart shape and she has a scar in the shape of an X next to her eye

2. The zigzag patterns on her arms and legs are stretch marks.

3. Her ahoge is meant to look like a broken heart.

I added a few intricate details on this piece that were not originally a part of Hikari's character. For one, the zigzag lines on her arms and thighs--these are actually *stretch marks* and resemble that of the ones on my own body. She also has my scar in the shape of an X right next to her eye.

I was so messed up in the head, I hated myself. But everyone else loved me because I was exactly what I was supposed to be. When I finally began to heal I, in a way, clipped my "angel wings" and became a better person for myself. But sometimes I still look back and I think I was better before. (2/2)

The story behind this is...complicated. As it depicts a lot of my trauma in one. But the big one is symbolized by the wings. I grew up in a very religious household and was very much affected by some form of purity culture. It messed me up pretty badly, but everyone loved how devout I seemed (1/2)
