I can't sleep. Decided to eat these sourdough heals from yesterday's loaf with some home smoked cheddar.

This was based on a self portrait I took after buying a shotgun and having no way to get it home other than strapped to my back as I traveled through Charlotte on my motorcycle.

Cost per person, maybe $1.20 since the chickens already paid for themselves and the ginger was home grown. I ended up with enough stock to make something else.

Chicken pastina and sourdough. No celery or thyme so I had to improvise with fennel seeds, celery seed, lime juice and fresh ginger. Forgot to add the red pepper flakes.

The chicken was leftover backs from two chickens.

Today I learned there is no standardized style guide for biological illustration.

Not that I keep up on these kinds of things.

You need to clear a short path from each set of stairs on a level anyway for when you come back up after getting the amulet. Just take a short detour in the mines. You can rapid descend with a pick axe.

Stone to flesh will fix that. Please tell me the Medusa problem has been resolved.

If you don't have a way of taming I would probably leave and get one. Then come back and alter squat. Two very powerful pets.

I finished my first drawing too soon so I decided to do a second one that was more technical. I didn't know beforehand that there wasn't a solid reference for starfish anatomy and I had to consult 15 different sources to get all the parts.

3/3 I didn't make Hawkeye's face long enough.

Famous characters and scribble pen. No measuring, no pencil layout. Just put pen to paper and go. Ended up with three.

1/3 Today's word is "pierce". I couldn't decide on a single thing but I did decide on a style and theme.

Over all between this and the previous harvest I have 50% more ginger than I started with. Pretty good return. Next year I'll go bigger than a single square foot of planting.

I know in my heart that I could dry those leaves out and weave something with them but that's not a project for this year.

I dug up some of my ginger crop and started a ginger bug for making ginger ale.

You can tell the ginger roots that just camped out in the sand vs the new growth. I'm not even upset that some of it didn't do anything. It stayed fresh and usable. Sand outside is the best storage system for ginger.

I almost put Kevin the bunny in here instead of Heathcliff.

Chili cheese fries

Oven fries topped with home canned chili, and smoked cheddar.

I expect "brag worthy" to replace "on trend" as an annoying phrase in commercials.

Midnight snack. Sourdough herb crackers and smoked havarti.

There is a difference between a shitpost and a shit post.

The important thing is that you got it drawn. And you told a story with yours. Which is always a bonus.

You know what makes us different from Nazi Germany? They didn't have video after video in their feed of the government disappearing people every day. People just vanished. No one today can claim they don't know what's happening. Some are actively cheering.
