This will be one to watch. At unimelb we made the decision to fund Verfassungsblog because it was important to our Law academics. There needs to be space for all types of scholarly works. Perhaps DOAJ could explore more tags to differentiate publishing venues.

Wow, I'd missed IEEE joining the ranks of publishers finding a way to obstruct the work of a rights retention statement. I liked "The RLF, which is more budget-friendly to an author’s grant or funder than a traditional APC, helps subsidize publishing services" - HELLO you get subs fees!!!
