The vase is sanded to 400 grit, given two coats of sanding sealer, treated with Yorkshire Grit, and polished with Hampshire Sheen. I still need to give it one final polish on the lathe this morning.
Now I just need to work on improving my photography — the pictures really don’t do it justice.

The woods I used are mahogany, London plane, sapele, oak, ash, and beech.
The London plane had a particularly strong smell while cutting — it felt like I was releasing the carbon it had captured.

This week I finished a segmented vase that took many hours of work. It’s made up of 13 separate rings, each consisting of 16 segments. The most challenging part was the top feature ring. I spent a long time planning and making test pieces to achieve the leaf effect.

Eggiscopes for Easter. These are a kaleidoscope and kids love them. They are made out of Ash and have been painted using Jo Sonja Iridescent Paints.

A good result for us tonight with Coventry getting beat, we now the same to happen with WBA and Bristol City and for us to get a convincing win against Oxford.

I made my son a guitar amp stand out of European Oak and think it looks good in his home office.

I changed the brass wire mesh on the doors for rattan and feel it looks a lot better. I love the soft close lid. Let me know what you think.

I just need to put the music console cabinet onto the legs now but will need to take the lid and doors off again to do this. I will also need someone to give me a hand to turn it over and back again when the legs are on. I'm not sure about the wire mesh on the doors.

The smile on Francesco's face says it all. I absolutely love those pictures. At one time we were all like that and some of us older folk haven't changed.

I’ve just treated myself to this ELO ‘Discovery’ album from eBay and are blown away at the quality of it. The album cover, sleeve and poster are in immaculate condition and there are no marks on the vinyl. It plays perfect.

Do you not think Hackney and Conway allowed Roberts to run off them. I still think Dieng should have done better and took a step back.

Mine looks good on my dressing room wall.

In the garage cutting and clamping the last panel panel for my music console. I’m up to my favourite part now (not) and sanding from 80 grit to 240 grit. A bit over the top but the finished article is for me.
It is made out of European white oak.
You can never have enough clamps 🤣🤣🤣

Hello Bandy, nice to see you over here. I bought one of your Boro Eastenders prints from you when you promoted them on FMTTM (Norman_Conquest). It looks brilliant in my dressing room.

I’ve been to the Harrogate Woodworking Show and was disappointed this year with the exhibitors available. It seems like even the bigger companies have taken up smaller stands this year.
I did see this carving from the Cleveland Wood Carving Club.

This is a church pew I made for my son's boot room. The pew was made out of reclaimed parts I received from The Chapel (Middlesbrough). The support under the seat is made out of pine and the seat is made out of white European Oak and finished using Rubio Monocoat Oil 2c.
