That's a classic film scratch. Probably caused by the camera, less likely by some debris caught in the light trap in the film canister (but that usually happens when you reuse it a bunch of times).

Scanning the results and realising that, somewhat unexpectedly, I've come to actually like this beast of a camera and the awkward lens. TBH I was planning to sell it but I'll have to think about it now.

They're pretty nice but the bokeh isn't always the best. I got this one as a bargain with stuck aperture, but after a simple fix I sold it with profit 😅

I feel like a 3-way fight in the last race for the F1 championship should be more exciting than that. The track, the cars, the result... just meh.

The original definitely excelled at feeling "big" without a lot of exposition. But the only way for the prequels to not expand on things was... not to make them at all. Yeah, we didn't "need" them. But you can say that about almost any movie sequel, prequel etc

It's bad filmmaking, but I will always appreciate its worldbuilding. It does more to flesh out the universe in a single movie than the entire sequel trilogy combined.

Got another foundling. I'm pretty sure she was someone's house cat - she's very friendly and house-trained - but after asking around, nobody is looking for her. My grown cats seem to be ok with a smaller new friend so it looks like she's here to stay.

Is "could be a really cool project if you have the time and money" a rough translation of "it will ruin your life"?

It's a film based on the Ilford HP4 recipe, made in Poland after our own film manufacturer bought some Ilford know-how in the 1970s. They kept making it for quite a while, this roll is from the last years of production.

Even in its less than perfect condition the Kiev 5 feels too nice for the #ShittyCameraChallenge so I'll compensate with some old film. Namely, Fotopan HL expired in 1998.

Good point, Max is single-handedly saving their reputation.

I think it's a modified Mitsubishi L200 (the 2005-2015 gen).

For all the investment and recruitment they've made I just can't take Aston seriously while they keep Lance around.
