Difficult to emphasize just how much a generation of kids has been taught that being dishonest, superficial, and narcissistic is the pathway to attention and therefore success

NBC’s Richard Engel: “The White House meme campaign is outraging many former US military commanders… they say only someone who has never really seen combat would think it’s a joke and put out material like this.”

“Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die.”

That’s what the President of the United States is saying to the American people.

He won’t be hurt by a retaliatory attack or high gas prices. But you will — and that’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make.

Shohei Ohtani’s 117.1 mph double was the second-hardest hit ball across the last 2 WBCs, behind only:

Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and we’re doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs

Obama: "We are living in a time where it can be hard to hope. Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions. Another setback to the idea of the rule of law ... but this man - Rev. Jesse Jackson - inspires us to take a harder path ... bc if we don't step up, nobody else will"

The reason we have “stupid rules of engagement” is to make sure we don’t bomb elementary schools.

This looks like a correct statement, except that first part. We have never learned. Vietnam didn't keep us out of Afghanistan, Afghanistan didn't keep us out of Iraq, and Iraq didn't keep us out of Iran. We never learn.

Despite Promises, Veterans Affairs Department Cut Thousands of Roles for Doctors and Nurses

Got it. There's plenty of funding to send troops into harm’s way, but not to take care of their health afterwards. This is shameful.

🧵Rubio asked the press to disseminate widely a phone number for Americans stuck in the Middle East to call. The media outlets did. Now @jonathankarl.bsky.social reports that calling the number just tells you, via recorded message, there is NO help.

LIEU: Did Amalia commit a crime?

NOEM: She did not. She's with her family

LIEU: The reason she's with her family is because she almost died in ICE detention until folks brought a lawsuit forcing her release

It Was Nice While It Lasted Bondi and company have torched the DOJ’s reputation for integrity.

"For generations, whatever one thought of DOJ’s arguments, the baseline assumption held: the Department acted in good faith and would follow the courts’ rulings. That assumption has given way, displaced by a sustained pattern of noncompliance and escalating confrontation with the courts."

What can you even say? These people deserve their inevitable humiliation and the nation deserves journalists with more self-respect.

Americans Stranded in the Middle East Aren’t Getting Help from the State Department “Please do not rely on the U.S. government for assisted departure or evacuation,” a State department hotline said when NOTUS called Tuesday afternoon.

NEWS: Americans were told to evacuate the Middle East — but the State Dept is not helping them do it.

We called the State hotline. First thing you hear is an automated message: "Do not rely on the U.S. government for assisted departure or evacuation."

Our nation is again at war, not because we had to but because the president recklessly chose to.

Now we must recognize who pays the price: not the president and his wealthy allies, but service members and ordinary Americans.

The FBI being on high alert for terrorist actions is important right now.

Too bad they fired and gutted their counterterrorism capacity
