The gaming industry is an embarrassment. Every wave of layoffs is a pathetic mewling whine for profit. It's disgusting. I hope the unions continue to grow and take over. Would be nice to also see some antitrust laws that work.

That's not how it works. It's a different version of the game that runs how it was optimised to run. The upgraded version is just that, a new version optimised for new hardware.
If you played a PS3 game on discord on PS4, it didn't suddenly run and look better.
