I taught a PTA board game design class for 4th and 5th graders at my kids' school. I'd start by giving them like 3 cubes and a die and saying, "You have 30 minutes. Make a game we can play!". They'd always come up with super creative stuff. Just making something and sharing it builds confidence.

Striking From the Dark – In the Shadows Review Seldom has a game become so relevant to modern times between conception and final production as In the Shadows - Resistance in France 1943-44 has become (I'm assuming it's been in the planning stages for numerous years, anyway). This game is a 2-player, 45-60 minute (BGG says 30-45 minutes, and maybe that's true once you're familiar with it) game about the French Resistance in World War II fighting against the occupying German forces.

Was just there! Second a trip to Manly (ferry only takes 20 minutes to get there). Rollers Bakehouse in Manly had good coffee and great pastries. If you are free tomorrow you should grab a ticket and go to the Sydney Swans game. It's Aussie Rules and super fun. Have a blast!

I've always loved Dan's work, and was equal parts excited and terrified for him to review it. Really proud of the work we did and glad that it shines through.

I bought this one a while back but haven’t opened it up yet. I’ll have to tune in!

It’s a great practice, and I think it also really helps build the skill set of rules writing and rules editing for clarity.

This is sooooo cooool!

What were their total kicks in play over the past two games? I feel like their ball in hand strategy works well in the Prem, but these other sides have stronger defenses that require a kicking game to get past.

Taylor is an incredibly talented designer. I can’t recommend him enough.
