2. Trumpeting that you saw it coming (ok who cares)
3. Reminding everyone you didn’t like their last game
4. Obviously, being a dick
Wishing nothing but the absolute worst for every shitheel exec whos choices led to all of the mass layoffs in the games industry over the last decade. Everytime this happens I just know the bastards are riding high in their new porsche as they destroy peoples lives en masse, people they paid poorly

I was a writer at BioWare for 5 years (2011-2016). I leaned a lot during that time from exceptional folx in many disciplines, but also specifically from my fellow writers & our amazing editors, on both the ME & DA brands.
Today, not a single one of those writers & editors remains employed there.
A giant middle finger to the studio for how it's treated the people who worked so hard on Dragon Age over the last few years and a second one in particular for how it treated everyone who got caught up in the layoffs/reassignments today and hid behind calling it being 'agile'.
Sincere #ThankYouDADevs to all who have dreamed up, built, and fleshed out Thedas and its characters. The depth and thoughtfulness of these games has brought me a lot of joy and I know myself and many others find them uniquely inspiring. The good you have done ripples out in so many ways. Thank you.

To post about layoffs without directly owning up to the action is disappointingly shitty. If you’re going to do it, be honest. Love my friends at BioWare, they are incredible people that just want to make incredible adventures and have the resources to do it. This isn’t right.

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over
