Someone took all our cold weather.

Why do some people pronounce ‘having’ with a ‘T’. As in ‘havting’? Is it an accent? Cultural? It’s such a curious thing.

Weird things you won’t usually find in the rural villages of Alaska: perfume. If it can’t be mailed then it will be rare. Most people don’t wear or enjoy others wearing perfume.

I don’t play D and D. But I REALLY want to buy a handmade set of dice. They are so beautiful. I wish there were artists that made regular dice!

As a lifetime arctic resident I can tell you this: it’s not getting cold that is nessesarilly bad, it is getting cold FAST from a much higher temperature that usually ends in things going badly.

The Winter Holidays in the village are never just a one day thing. There is a feast day and a dancing day and gift giving and games and they can last a week or two. This painting is inspired by the dancing. And the joy and celebration in those days.

To be a night owl parent with one morning bird and an afternoon sloth as children. Christmas break struggles.
