Some days I want to be feral. Other days I want to be wrapped in blankets and emotionally microwaved until warm. Today is the second one.

I LOVE the new series on Netflix, "Famous Last Words". And the first episode is Jane Goodall's, which couldn't be more perfect. I wonder who else they have in the vault? 🤔

I showed up for jury duty, and was dismissed in literally less than a minute after walking through the door, lolol. That has to be some kind of record.

Planning to legally change my name soon. I go by Lily, but I’m torn between that or Lilith (while still using Lily). I love and relate to Lilith’s modern symbolism, though the old myths differ. Any insights on using mythological names with modern vs. historical meanings that differ?

I wish people would be honest about the role I truly play in their lives, rather than pretending we share a closeness that doesn’t exist. I’d rather be a stranger in honesty than a confidant in pretense.

Fear is powerful, and self-preservation persuasive, even for those who once believed they’d be brave. It convinces good people to look away, stay silent, or tell themselves they wish they could do more.

In the end, history isn’t shaped by what we wish we had done, but by what we actually do.

When I was growing up, we were often asked, “Would you have helped Anne Frank and her family?” Most said, “Of course.”
