he’s waited outside for a concert in minus five in a t-shirt before. he spends time on the ice for a living; it’s in his veins. he’ll be fine.

oh, they will. ella will have her jacket and scarf and boots, teddy will probably be jacketless and possibly in shorts, as it was sunny today and he always runs hot.

teddy’s happy to forgo his own if necessary.

setting his little girl down, he wears a wide grin, then jerks his thumb to the truck.

she’s in luck — he’s very fast when it means seeing her. barely twenty minutes and his truck’s pulling up now.

yeah, since she started kindergarten this week. a bunch of other stuff happened too, but one thing at a time.

sure. he made brownies last night; he can bring some.

sure, whatever she feels like sounds good to him, he’s up for anything.

probably going to have the little one tagging along too, with her new teddy bear.

lots of shit to catch her up on, but he’s pretty good. some shit hit the fan, but he’s good now.
