In the Super Mario Galaxy games, the staff credits text is always loaded into RAM despite not being needed until the ending. While horribly inefficient, this is inadvertently heartwarming as the games appear to honor their creators by keeping them in memory at all times.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Wild Glide Galaxy is "larger than the universe", going outside the boundaries of its own skybox. The game simply drags the skybox alongside Mario's position to keep the area immediately around him within the boundaries.

a screenshot of the Nintendo Switch Mii editor that i made look like the Nintendo Switch 2 UI. there is a mostly-normal female Mii, but with unique eyes, and a teal favorite color. the editor is on the eyebrows tab of the Mii, and shows a new row of 6 eyebrows with a red background and a lock icon next to it. the new eyes and eyebrows were drawn by @sillypau.bsky.social
NEW: Miis on the Nintendo Switch 2 will offer new features through "Mii Part Packs", priced at around $7.99 each. There will be Mii Part Packs for eyebrows, eyes, hairstyles, glasses, and even favorite colors.
