๐ The START Competition โ Teaching primary school children how to design and run a scientific experiment called a randomised trial! ๐งช๐ A fun challenge to explore real-world questions through hands-on science.
Randomisation (dividing your participants into groups using chance) is one of the most important steps of the START Competition. Don't skip it! It allows the kids to have at least 2 groups for their study, and to compare the differences between them.

This is done using randomisation. Itโs a bit like picking names out of a hat ๐ฉ
Who is taking part in your study? Is it the junior class? Your parents?

Before starting their study, children need to decide who will take part and collect consent. Asking permission is an essential step and a key part of good research.
