Nixon! Jeez, kids today! Here’s my friend, Maurice the Historian, waving the original at a symposium on the underground press, sitting next to Matt Groening… Who said we were an influence! He was a teenage vendor of the paper in Portland. Maurice also put it in one of his books.

I updated it with more garish stuff.

It took me forever to get to 1400 followers and in one day I went to over 2000 after getting put on that list. As a political artist, I want as much exposure as I can get. But, of my 600+ new followers, I’m sure only a few realize that I’m flogging my own cartoons. Here’s one I did a long time ago.

An autobiographical cartoon about Portland in 1970. My collective was supportive of the Black Panthers and followed their chants, including “Multnomah County, Burn it to the Ground!” My buddy Maurice leaned over and said, “I don’t think this program will have popular appeal.”

I worked in a pawn shop in downtown SF in the 70s and some of our customers died in Guyana with Jim Jones. Their relatives came in with pawn slips recovered from their bodies.
People wonder why nothing repulses Trump’s base. A sign it’s a cult. They would drink poisoned Kool-Aid for him.

Worst Supreme Court since Taney and the Dred Scott case. We still have minority rule by the slaver states. Could they bring back slavery? Wait until Trump’s third term and see.

I’m ashamed to admit that I voted for the initiative that took redistricting away from the California legislature and gave it to a “fair” citizen’s committee. We were scammed! It was unilateral disarmament.

One of my first Trumps from before he was elected. He always tries out both sides of an issue, or at least pretending.

I also tend to look at people’s mouths instead of their eyes if I don’t consciously check myself. We have a non-profit that works with unhoused people, many of whom have terrible teeth, and it might make them feel that I’m being judgemental.
