I hit a wall trying to get YouTube embedded media to play, but I'm going to shift my focus to getting Spotify, Twitch, and SoundCloud working in the meantime, while looking at finding a YouTube fix.

Working on a toggle to turn off the spinning PFP, for people who don't want that extra bit of motion, in audio mode. Also going to add the ability to stay locked into whichever mode (audio or video) you set it to, as well as the player operating for embedded media, and as an RSS player. 🧵(2/2)

While I don't have an editing suite built in just yet, that's definitely to come, after I get all of the Bluesky integration built out. Right now the video audio toggle is working exactly as designed. When in audio only mode, it shows the user's profile picture as a spinning disc. 🧵(1/2)

It appears Hashtags aren't posting correctly as a clickable search object. Next to work on is keeping the app from auto playing to the next "Drop", if the user is already trying to comment, while on a "Drop" already.

This "Drop" is being uploaded on the Bluesky side, for further internal testing. Autoplay is definitely working, I just didn't have many MP4s to sample on my own account.

YouTube embedded media being difficult, I've reached the last mile of issues though, there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

Fortunately, for now native media that is uploaded to Bluesky is correctly playing in audio/video modes and in the background when the screen is off.

Made a feed to make it easier to surface embedded media content for @skydrops.app, so far it's only halfway working from my internal testing.

The Action: The user types, "This part about black holes is mind-blowing!" and hits send.
The Result: To the user, it feels like they commented on the podcast. In reality, Skydrops just sent a Reply Record to the original Bluesky post that contained the link.

In Skydrops: You see that post. Because it's an audio link, Skydrops lets the user tap "Play."
The Now Playing Screen: The user is listening to the podcast. They see a "Comments" section of the Bluesky replies appearing right under the podcast player.

Getting caught back up on lost sleep felt like an uphill battle, but I think I've finally won! 😎🤘🏽🌌

Decided to go ahead, and install Chrome OS Flex for now, until I make further upgrades.

I will be upgrading/replacing the SSD, and RAM, as the device fortunately does have upgradable slots. Potentially also need a USB Bluetooth adapter to bypass the internal drivers to fix my audio issue.

Working on converting an ASUS Chromebox (CN60), into a more usable device, past EOL support.

I've removed the write protection screw, and have Fyde OS running native now. Bluetooth and Audio drivers are no longer working, after working for hours in the Terminal, hoping for a fix.
