I just don't understand why D leadership is dead set against impeachment. he's shredding the constitution! his approval is in the toilet! impeachment investigations generally cause presidential approval to fall even more. like, what are they afraid of?

What is amazing to me is that they lack the self-awareness to reconsider the project even as evidence of its impact piles up around them. It is as if, looking over the federal government, the Justices are saying: "Yes, we want *more* unhinged policy that will send the nation into recession or war."

The end result is that regulation is unconstitutional - agencies are allowed to enforce/implement the programs Congress devises but they can't make policy decisions. The safe level of trichloroethylene in indoor air must be set by legislation.
