This was achingly cool at the time, it still is, but Michael Hutchence looks so young. I’d have skipped on by now if I’d glimpsed this as a new release. Maybe I should pay more attention to the kids’ music. Give it a chance.

Rachel Reeves has three options to dodge an economic crisis and all are unthinkable As her £9.9bn of headroom evaporates, chancellor will have to raise taxes, cut spending or break ‘iron-clad’ fiscal rules

Dear Rachel Reeves, JUST BE HONEST WITH US. Things haven't worked out as you hoped

Like all good generals know a plan only lasts until first contact with the enemy. That's when prediction crashes into reality. Only an idiot would choose to lose a war just so you can stick to the plan

Don’t buy stuff on February 28. Money’s the only thing these dicks understand.

Yup it is. Especially as we are horribly exposed to the USA’s moronic leader’s whims and madness. Learned today that David Cameron was already in contact with Greensill (his next employer) before the Brexit vote. Make of that what you will.

Frightening old Russian agent who has had his license revoked as a psychologist in Canada but is now part of the US federal government team

To no one's surprise, RFK Jr's weird job application which asks people if they like poetry, want to have sex or have ever had bizarre fantasies, was created by Jordan Peterson. Peterson, who Trudeau recently testified under oath is a paid propagandist for Putin, has left Canada and moved to the US.

I’ve lost a lot of environmental friends for the same reason. Castigated online by the left for vax doubts, they went into the open arms of the right. Now it’s all ‘chem trails’, ‘climate change is a hoax’ and ‘shadowy elite cabals’. A very slippery rabbit hole.

I feel the same. I don't approve of violence, but when I see him using foghorn tactics to drown out people confronting him with truths - I'd really like to block that gaping maw with a truck-full of quick setting cement. He's repulsive & it's so hard to understand why others can't see it.

"Taking back control" was about taking it from us as UK citizens & removing our protection under EU laws. I think we Remainers saw all this coming, but our voices got shouted down under the crazed chanting of slogans. Would love to connect & see what we can do to reverse things. Now more than ever.

Or go the other way and fear (afterwards) that you spent the assessment trying too hard to convince them. I didn't, but my head critic loves constantly whispering "are you sure?"

For a start, let’s remove the ridiculous red tape for acts from the UK wanting to tour the EU.

It’s not rocket science that music is a power for good.

Why make it so complicated?

A color photo of an open book on a table in front of bookshelves filled with various books, above the book is a card that reads, "If you're afraid that books might change someone's thinking, you're not afraid of books, you're afraid of thinking." ~Andrea Junker

A timely reminder::

"If you're afraid that books
might change someone's thinking,
you're not afraid of books,
you're afraid of thinking."

Can we start to accept that shareholding cause a humongous problem in conflict of interest?

I'm not sure I'd agree, maybe for some not too far gone.
But in the end they become true believers of their justifying narratives. There's no guilt, they're convinced they're right.

Mine is not a serious thing but it does take some of the enjoyment out of life. I’ve had COVID three times now, and each time it’s taken more of my sense of smell. I might be more fatigued too, not sure it’s just age though.

Yep, Farage is a serious threat. Looking at the reasons (slogans) the ‘happy Trump’ people cite above, they also say the same for him. I have nightmares about Farage becoming PM. But what has he actually done (not just said) that’s improved all our lives? He’s charismatic shyster.

The interesting thing is how many of the people happy with him, recite his own slogans/propaganda as the reason.

Just the drawl in his voice makes me ill alone. But let’s feel sorry for JRM. It’s clearly hard to conceptualise how stressful the last 14 years have been for people when you’re holed up in an ivory tower.

Not a single person has been put on trial for killing 72 people at Grenfell.

But they can lock up non-violent protestors for 21 years, because they are a 'danger'.

That would be a brilliant compromise; resting the land while using it for mobile solar panels. It would be a partial solution to the problem of fertiliser use on overworked soil and the subsequent pollution of our waterways.

Show Your Stripes Visualising how the climate has changed for every country across the globe

showyourstripes.info/l/europe/uni... Yeah but it's just a natural phase... 🙄
Just for the record, apparently the natural warming & cooling phase of the Earth is about a degree every 6500 years, so yeah this looks totally natural!

I can confirm, especially when the choking fumes roll down our town’s valley. The same valley prone to flash floods due to lack of heavy rain mitigating vegetation on the moorland.

Did you know BlueSky only has 20 employees?

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to those 20 warriors (who are working 24/7 to keep up with the incredible growth) for giving us a space to share.

We escaped hell to be here.

Thank you, @bsky.app & Jay Graber CEO (not a billionaire)

People are often surprised when I tell them this: both Twitter and Facebook/insta/threads are now specifically engineered to downgrade, hide, suppress real journalism. If this platform is different, that's a huge change

Just add, my searches didn’t do too well. I got a lot of posts about D&D, but you’ll know better terms than me to uncover others. Put hashtags on your own posts too.

I’d suggest doing a search for specific keywords in a magician’s lexicon say… “prestidigitation” and follow anyone suitable that comes up, hopefully they’ll follow back. You can then create a “starter pack” of handles to help others find you & them. “Magician” itself is too generic.
