Ghislaine Maxwell is demanding immunity and pre-screened questions to testify before Congress. The GOP’s silence is deafening. When abusers & enablers make the rules, justice dies quietly. Who are Republicans trying to protect?

So far a spokesman for the committee said that it will not consider congressional immunity. The demands include the interview only happens after her SCOTUS ruling which will try to sidestep some legal issue with the immunity she is currently trying to achieve. Roy Cooper has officially secured the Democrat nomination for North Carolina’s Senate race. A two-term governor with a proven record on healthcare, education, and protecting democracy. Cooper enters as the strongest possible challenger to Trumps MAGA machine. The path to flipping NC just got real πŸ‘€

True that, democrats got their S tier candidate in NC, what’s left is Texas and Maine

In politics it’s not uncommon for a candidate to be considered the presumptive nominee well before the formal primary if there’s no serious competition. That’s exactly what’s happening here. Unless a major candidate suddenly enters the race (which is unlikely) Cooper is the nominee in all but name.

- recognition, a strong fundraising base, and the backing of key Democratic figures.

While the official primary for North Carolina’s Senate seat is scheduled for 2026, Roy Cooper is effectively the Democratic nominee because no major Democratic challengers have stepped forward, and the party machinery is already coalescing behind him. He’s a two-term governor with high name 1/?

He has officially secured the role of presumptive Democratic nominee given his opponents dropped out to support him instead, making the Democratic Party in NC unite behind him

The whole point of our post is that the path for him is officially secured and he is the Democratic presumptive nominee

28.07.2025 13:50 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

He has pretty much secured it given his opponents cancelled their campaign and decided to support him instead

Thanks for the tip. β€œDemocratic” is the formal adjective, but using β€œDemocrat” like that isn’t always disrespectful it’s common in casual speech and many don’t see it as rude. Just depends on tone. Although we will keep it in mind

I type casually in the comments on purpose. It’s a social post, not an essay. πŸ˜„

I simply explained the reasoning behind using β€œDemocrat” instead of β€œDemocratic”.

After days of mulling a quorum break, some Texas Democrats have left the state – but they'll be right back Because the state representatives will return from California and Illinois the same day they left, their trips are not considering a quorum break.

Update: Texas Democrats have travelled to California, New York and other states to discuss with Democratic governors on how to combat Republican gerrymandering.

They will not deny quorum anymore due to returning on the same day they left. www.kvue.com/article/news...
