Incredibly disappointing that @ncmme.bsky.social didn't even have the decency to pass on this letter to the trustees ahead of a meeting today.
@penforeman.bsky.social, as the vice-chair of trustees, we are urging you to read this letter from @unison.org.uk regarding the ongoing industrial action.

Allowing such behaviour is yet another failure of leadership by museum managers, and further evidence of their intention to inflame and escalate the dispute rather than resolve it.

The individual said they had the authority of the chief executive to be on museum property.
The individual said they had met with the museumβs chief executive.
Complaints were made to her about the behaviour, but she did nothing.

Last week, this person attended the picket line at the National Coal Mining Museum.
This clip is one example of them threatening the picket line.
They also abused a local councillor, and even the museumβs duty managers who were on shift and challenged the behaviour.
Here on the picket, bright and early!

Museum managers requested a meeting then brought a worse offer than a previous one π€
"It seemed as though they were keen to resolve the dispute and show staff theyβre valued... Itβs a clear demonstration of how little managers value staff."

Well done to Barnsley Caring Voices for their performance at UNISON Yorkshire and Humber Regional Migrant Network meeting today. Inspiring. @unisonyh.bsky.social
Unison's investigation reveals shocking exploitation of migrant care workers, with some paying Β£20k in illegal fees. Choirs like Barnsley Caring Voices offer solace and solidarity amidst this ongoing crisis.
We are featured in today's Real Britain article in the Daily Mirror. The piece highlights the plight of many migrant care workers and why the sponsorship system needs to change @unisonyh.bsky.social @unison.org.uk
Migrant worker June, who was scammed by her employer & told to find a new sponsor in 60 days or to go home to Nigeria, has found solidarity in Barnsley Caring Voices β a choir which brings migrant care workers together in song. #RealBritain

Yesterday some members of our choir sang at the @unisonyh.bsky.social migrant workers' event. Here we are singing "the Yorkshire anthem".
This is one of our favourite songs as it poignantly reflects our experience of being far from home without the financial means to return

Looking good! π€©
Great work from Team @unisontheunion.bsky.social promoting our migrant worker charter at an event organised by @sheffcitycouncil.bsky.social today π
