The longer version is that there is an approved heli route which helicopters can take through Central London that follows the Thames for safety. I believe TV helicopters apply to deviate from this. As the company sent two they may have needed to stipulate how they would maintain separation.

They would have been VFR, which means it's the pilots' responsibilities to maintain separation like when driving a car. Thames Radar would make them aware of other traffic. They would likely have agreed in advance how to maintain separation (eg staying on opposite ends of the orbit for visibility)

Not needing a key is actually great because you just use your pass to unlock it, but they expire and lock themselves out after 72 hours at which point you need to find someone from Workplace to open it for you!

The smart lockers are also an absolute triumph. My locker spends nearly all of its time locked out because I usually have more than 72 hours between runs of shifts so I have to find the floor co-ordinator every time I want something out of it.

Even more W1A that they were installed months ago but as far as I can see still aren't in use...

I think there are two factors with the US market - firstly their first amendment rights, and the attitude of the incoming Trump administration to freedom of speech.

There's also complexity with how podcasts are distributed, as they're not dependent on platforms with files able to be self hosted.

The ASA can't really enforce those rules outside of the UK. International regulators - and therefore, platforms - are aligned on this though, which is why it works.

It's unlikely this would be the case with regulating harmful content, particularly in the US market.

It would be a complete nightmare regulating media on the internet. For one, you couldn't really effectively regulate podcasts produced in the USA.

Thread: I have made some handy feeds for fans of #TomorrowsPapersToday which collate feeds from the team in one easy place.

This feed shows just the front pages posted in the last 18 hours (so it excludes sport):

The Tomorrow's Front Pages and Tomorrow's Back Pages feeds only show posts from the last 18 hours, so if you're looking in the afternoon they will only populate when the next day's pages start being posted!

MBR1, where nothing is quite centred properly and where you get a lovely crackle if you touch the pots while the fader's up! (or should I say down)

When Apple replaced my damaged iPhone under Apple Care, I had to turn off Find My before shipping it back to them. I'm pretty sure they also had me do a factory reset... there shouldn't be any harm in doing one anyway.

Might need to launch a gov.uk petition for you to investigate why people keep installing only USB A in hotel rooms, cars, trains, planes in the year 2024...

I was there a few days ago. I enjoyed how the most notable thing about it at a glance is Mimi's Bubble Tea shop!

Surely it's as much about reaching new audiences and getting eyeballs on your brand as it is about reaching your existing audience?

IMO a huge amount of LBC's success when they went from being a London brand to a national one can be credited to their strategy on Twitter with visualised clips.
